Not too happy with the rear end of the Nismo. The front looks ok, although I am not a fan of such a hugh lip. I can't imagine all the stuff it would scrape on. The current Z is bad enough with the underspoiler. The painted lip looks like it will be scratched to hell in a few months.

the only complaint i have is i wish they would make the NAV and leather seats optional. like leather with that same red stitch would be badass. i see their line of thinking with the trim level....but lets say im in the market for a 70K plus cayman S if this car is like 39-40 and would be maybe 43-44 with leather and NAV i think it would still appeal to that demographic..

Wonder if it will still overheat.
Simple physics would suggest yes if nothing has been done to address the issue.

However, given the suggestion of ECU mods, there could be some hope. On the 335i Dinan increased the flow time on the water pump to help compensate for the heating issue. That was with an electric pump. Is the Z's pump mechanical?

just curious as to why they didnt give it 380hp.... like the previous 380RS.
common nissan!!!! that Z would have almost been a 911 competitor at that power rating.

8,000 rpm, 380hp,12.5:1 compression and with direct injection 400hp. just copy porsche.

NO DI "The NISMO Z®’s enhanced engine power and acceleration is provided through use of an exclusive H-configured exhaust system design and muffler tuning, along with optimized ECM (Engine Computer Module) control."QUOTE=azn370z;52818]I'm guessing the 09 nismo gets direct injection and the coupe gets it in 2010. The roadster probably doesn't get it until 2011? Hopefully the nismo bodykit looks better than the last nismo. Pretty excited to see what it looks like.[/QUOTE]

Think of the millions it would cost to federally certify a new engine. Nissan was able to utilize the existing VQ37VHR and tune it with less backpressure for a 18 HP bump. Not cheap, but a cost effective way to offer slightly better performance from an engine that has already met all testing requirements.

Besides, Nissan already has a strong 911 competitor in the GT-R...

So I"m guesiing this bad boy will be breaking the 1.00 G barrier with the extra rigidity and .5 inch wider tires......

Maybe a 0-60 in teh 4.6 or 4.5 range

It will definitely hit over 40k for sure. Not a big fan of the front, the back and side looks pretty good. At least it looks waaaaaay better than the 350 nismo. But Nismo body kits over all is to ricey looking. As for as the rims, it's ok.

I must say I'm impressed on the overall package. Very curious to see what the exhaust looks like, plus also if they addressed the overheating issue, considering this is aimed square for track driving.
