Wow, I've always had the opposite experience. All the salesman always try to force me into a test drive even if I don't want to go on one. I'm 21, but I usually have one of my parents with me so they're cool with it.

I had never been in a 370Z or even seen one, except for pictures on the internet. I did my research and was pretty sure I wanted one. Got my financing preapproved, wife and I flew 400 miles to drive the car and most likely purchase it. It was a cold day, about 35 degrees. Wife goes inside the dealership while I look over the car. I ask the salesman to take it for a test drive. He gets the keys and starts to get in the passenger seat when I ask if my wife can go along. He gets a funny look on his face but agrees.
Wife and I are gone about 20 minutes when my cell phone rings. It is the salesman asking when I am coming back. I'm thinking to myself, I just flew 400 miles to buy a car from you, you have talked with my bank and we have been working on this for a week, I am not some young kid out for a joy ride. So I tell the guy I am 3 blocks away and he can relax. While I am doing the paperwork he asks if I brought the dealer plate back in with me. No I didn't. Dumb *** put it on the trunk deck and it slide off and gets lost. He then makes the comment he didn't think I would beat the car so soon. I was getting a good price on the car or I would have left right then and told them they could keep the car. I have to say I really enjoy this car, but the salesman did little to enhance the enjoyment of the purchase. |

don't really remember the test drive of this one, but when I bought my C6, my neighbor bought one a month later and told me the salesman said I scared him on the test drive. We found some very fun curvy roads nearby.

Just after I left the dealership lot I had the A$$ hanging out, and the sales guy screaming like a little girl...
Was a great test ride...
