Curious: "yo man id kill to have one, they are my fav. I thought about getting one... Blah blah blah"

Yo: "yes, thanks, yes, ok"

Curious: "well good talking to you. Love your 350"

I don't mistaken my car on the slightest for a 350. But many many times vie had people think it was one. Sometimes I correct them, others I ignore out of simpathy.

Do you get this as well?

Why do I have the feeling the standard non-enthusiast finds this car to be just a newer version of the 350? Granted it's a progression of the Z but I don't feel I can compare my car to a 300 or a 270 so why the 350?

perhaps some of that is for some reason you feel your better than a 350z?

just remember, if it werent for the success of the "comeback" 350z there would be no 370z.

Gotta respect them. There are a ton of modified 350's out there that could whoop up on 90% of the cars on this forum if not more.

Just correct em. most people like the cars and respect them and thats why they are giving you props.. They dont know its a 370z most of the time. And some people, believe it or not, just know the "general shape" of cars and like em. Ive had many people who say they love my car but then couldnt point out a 350 vs a 370z in a lot.

Um NO it's the new version, it's different in almost EVERY way...

i get the 350 thing all the time. The best is when their friends correct them "no moron that a 370"

everybody should know that cars with bigger numbers on the badges are always better :)

Who cares... you give me 2 different shots of tequila and i can't tell the difference, yet some others might think it's blasphemy. Everyone has their own interests and education.

You can't blame the general public for saying 350, just correct them that is a porsche and that its time for them to come home and sleep with you. Everyone wins then :)

I have had some people call it a 350Z.

but the best one was "I cant believe you own an aston martin"

When my wife's best friend heard that I bought a 370z she said "OMG...I cant believe you just bought a $50,000 car!".

I took it as a compliment being that it was just over $30,000 :tup:

Don't worry about it. People are just excited for you and envious in a good way.

I've had people think my car was a Porsche. No one's thought my car was a 350Z, but I've had a couple people who didn't know that anything after the 350Z existed. I've also gotten a "I never knew Nissan made such nice looking cars"

My favorite was this convo between me and a guy at a redlight across near team nissan in Marietta.

Guy: "Thats a 370z right?"

Me: "Yes sir, it is."

Guy: "Isn't that the smaller version of the 380z? They made it a little bit smaller, and a smaller engine as well didn't they?"

I didn't know what to say? I was just like ummm come on redlight turn green turn green turn green.....Green light, accelerator=to the floor.


Haha I run from crazy people! But no seriously, it was amusing, and it doesn't bother me anymore. All I know is, all the girls my age absolutely love it and I have a BLAST every time I press the start button.

I get the 350 thing all the time, but as mentioned before, it comes from people who wouldn't know the difference between most cars. Doesn't bother me. I'm secure with the size of my penis extension.
The 350 thing also comes from people who somehow think that their Fusions, Chargers and Camrys are remotely close to the NASCAR cars with the same names on their bodies.
Despite their ignorance, these people usually mean well and are trying to be complimentary.

On the other hand, I can't tell the difference between a BMW 328i and a 335i until I see the badge.

One of my friends told me the 328i has one exhaust pipe on the left side, whereas the 335i has 2 with one on either side. Of course I mean towards the left/right edges of the rear bumper, not the sides of the car.

Exhaust tips give it away :tup:

I have a friend who keeps referring to it as a 360Z. :shakes head:

If I can see the exhaust, I can probably see the badge, too.

I can see the exhaust tips from further away than I can read the badge, so thats what I use to tell the difference. We've forced you to become an expert in BMW 3 series, lol. :icon17:

There is a guy at work who swears he passes a 390z everyday on the way to work, I think he needs glasses

Not everyone is a car person and knows what they're looking at.

Some lady said to me the other day "Did I park to close to your Porsche?" I didn't bother correcting her :tup:

I only got the 350z thing once I think. Ive more often gotten " Is that a Porshe?" i usually say " No, its better IMO". But I also get alot of "What kind of car is that? Its beautiful and the headlights are awesome" i say" a Nissan 370z and Thank you and I know haha"

Well over like 90% of the beamers are debadged so you HAVE to look at the exhaust to know the difference.

which are most beamers above the 320, according to most people it is for streetracing so the opponent is thinking "lol a 320" while its actually a 335 or whatever they make.

but then again I saw a 550 a week ago.

My mom was talking to some people from our village and they thought the Z was a porsche :roflpuke2:

i think i know because my co-worker used to call me bimmer-man for the car that i drove :)

BMW = break my window, bite my weenie, beat my wife, etc.

this asian co-worker told me it stood for "big mouth woman." that's the first time i ever heard of that :)

Over here BMW = brol met wielen, translates pretty much into junk/**** with wheels.

i get the porsche thing a lot and i assume its because of the nismo rear/wing lol and i love it haha
