But what I did find interesting was that with a AT, even though you floor the pedal, between 0 to 60 you won't get WOT as there is a restriction programmed in and with the manual you do get WOT if you press the pedal all the way down...
Obviously you can get rid of that by changing the flag in the ECU, but the reason the AT needs this is interesting....

Is this statement about the 0 to 60 WOT with the 7AT true? If so, what are the reasons the 7AT needs this restriction?

Only on the stop and go traffic on the way home. Other than that even after not driving a manual for 10 years, Im loving it.

If you regret your transmission choice, your man card should be revoked.

Regret your AT? You should, you bought a sports car with an AT. Revoked.

Regret buying an MT? Get a Camry, nancy boy. Revoked.

Nope. I enjoy having a 6MT. Sometimes it would be nice to have a second 370z with the paddle shifters for cruising though. Since it doesn't really drive like a true sports car, and has such a tame nature, I could see a Z being pretty fun with the auto and paddle shifters.

I think the paddle shifters are fun, but I have no experience driving a manual. I keep my car in D mode for normal everyday driving. When I want to have some fun, I put it into M mode and use the paddle shifters. It makes it feel more special and fun every time I use them

Yes and no. I like the manual switching but I find this tranny in this car doesn't like fast switching. It's like the clutch is still engaged a little and I have to rip it out of 1st to put into 2nd. 2nd to 3rd isn't bad and so forth. I would like to see a CVT tranny.
