cubby
im currently deployed and plan to get a 370 when i get back and i really dislike the cover for the cubby hole and would like to get rid of it. i considered the nav pkg but think 2k is a little steep so i was thinking of putting something in its place. ive seen people put a touch screen there. ive seen people put a carputer there for tuning. and ive seen people connect a touchscreen there to another touchscreen radio down below. does anyone have any ideas of doing something similar or complety different? maybe an ipad? let me kno thanks

well if you put an ipad there (as someone here has done), better make sure you can detatch it and hide it, or never park your car, because i guarantee an IPAD wont last very long on your dashboard

No Joke, when I was giving a ride to my wife's brother he asked if the cubby was a small fridge.
He's a little slow.

I wonder if any companies make a kit to replace that cubby hole with a aftermarket double din HU. Would be nice to fit one there that is touch screen with NAV

2K for the NAv is not so bad. It gives you the great screen, the backup camera in the 2011, DVD playback, engine diagnostic/service info and bluetooth for your phone. Plus it adds to the value of the car. It also looks cool.
In the big scheme of things, it is $2000 well spent... imo

touchscreen monitor in place of cubby
that is the closest thing to what you are looking for. I wanted the same thing but no one makes a kit for it. I believe it is all custom made. |
