Go with red because it's got splash guards! :icon17:
My first choice was PG and 2nd was white. But I did a last minute change to Monterey blue. I love the white color. Quote:

I'm leaning a bit toward white just because I've developed a nervous tick whenever I even think of a swirl mark, or driving through water. Plus cops seem to like to have little chats with me a lot anyway. All I need is red car to get their attention even more. But then again, I want to add a louder exhaust, and maybe have some aftermarket rims, etc..., which all, to me, goes better w/ the red. Aaaarggh I'm so confused!! |
my 350 was red and it was hard to keep clean....
if i wouldn't have gotten white and would have seen a red in person w/sport package i would have gone red....just looks so sporty and exterior mods look hot on it. |
What color was the interior of the red one?
|
Ok, I checked their on-line inventory and the interior is black........whew. I ordered mine with grey interior and was going to be a little upset if my preordered car had come in and was out on the lot.

Red isnt going to be much easier to take care than black is, at least the red is flat and not metallic on the 370Z.
The white will also be a PITA if you get a scratch in it because of the metallic flake in it. |
hey32g,
Funny, I went through the red/black scenario when I ordered my 335i coupe. I was set for black until I saw a red/black with the gray poplar trim. I went with red. On the Z I had not seen a red one but had seen black/silver/yellow when I went to pick one up. When I saw the red I was glad I went with red. However, I have to admit the yellow was hard to pass up. |
^ I'll sound like the grumpy old man, but I miss the "old" yellow that came on the 50s.

I viewed a white one before I picked out the chicane yellow, if you dont think the pearl white is going to show swirls you're in for a BIG suprise. |
I had white on my G, while if you looked very hard for swirls, you could see them, nothing as bad as the many red vehicles I have owned (which were nothing as bad as the black vehicles I have owned :D)

If OP plans on dropping and throwing some bigger, chrome wheels on it I would go with the white.
I LOVE have pearl white looks with a nice large set of chrome wheels on it. I have both a 96 and 05 Mustang GT (both red), never had a problem with the swirls just always looks dirty. |
Just curious... does anyone have any research that shows red cars are stopped more than any other color? I also don't understand the "attention" that many of you talk about. What kind of attention?

While there have been relatively few studies conducted on this topic, the evidence that is available shows that red cars are not pulled over more often than cars of other colors. What is interesting to note here is that silver and grey cars do seem to be pulled over statistically more frequently than other car colors, according to Snopes.com." Thank you!

Alright then, let me ask this question: what do you guys think is the easiest to maintain/"swirl-free" color?
