Snow Driving...Who's done it so far?

Yes I drove my Z in the snow, I was able to handle it ok no problms with skidding or anything but forward movment was the problem. If you don't have snow tires plan on an extended drivng time and tracton control is your friend.

This may be the funniest post I've seen on the internet. The 370z is more than capable in the snow. Get some decent snows, turn traction control off and go have fun guys. I daily my 2wd truck that has 20" wheels on it and we get arguably more snow than the rest of the country in Western NY (See: Lake effect). Hell, back when one of my friends owned my z33 (and it had twin turbos) we took it ice racing a few times out on frozen lakes.

I had a 350z with Sport Package , Brembos, 18" Rays and traded it in for a new 370 with the sport package and larger brakes, 19" Rays. I had bought a snow tire package for my 350 a few years back with nice blizacks on 18" rims specifically for the 350 with brembos. Has anyone attempted or knows if these will fit my 370? Living in S/W Ontario winter is all around and I need to do something soon. I have another vehicle but I still like to drive the 370 once and a while in the winter. The 350 with the correct winter tires and good driving skills was no problem in the snow. I'm sure the 370 not much different as long as the snow is not to deep.

What's the price tag on a set of 18" Blizzaks and rims? How about just 19" blizzak tires?

19" Blizzaks were around $700 for me last year, but they were on clearance at Tire Rack...The tread lasts long, and you can get at least two 4-6 month seasons out of them (possibly three)...

Ive been driving in weather around -25 degrees for about 3 weeks now.. only problem i have is the front bumper taking a beating from snow/ice chucks that tend to fall off car when driving behind them. Im running a 18" cheap tuner wheel with the sport package.. it fits without any spacers. the rims where 112$ a wheel and i put on hankook winter ipike w409 and had them studded. I have no issues starting/stoping/turning. I wouldnt sugggest driving in any snow without the proper tires. my whole winter rim/tire setup cost my 1267.00 all in, so it wasnt to bad.

As for driving the 370z in the winter. It can be done but like others have said, winter tires are a must. We had unexpected snow come down, about 1-2cm last year and i still had my summer tires on. Got stuck 3 times on the base, was able to get myself out 2 times but had to get some people to push me the 3rd. Got winter tires on and the car handled amazing. Handled even better with the VDC off. That thing got me in more trouble on then it did off. Taking turns and having your *** end somewhat slide out wasnt a problem with me, i knew how to handle the that. But when u do that and the VDC comes on, that screwed me up. I ended up pulling the harness out and leaving the VDC off the whole winter and never had any issues.

I drove it in snow last year but I'm parking it for this winter.
For one, I even drove during the east coast snow storm last year *though it was not as bad as states up here in Canada*. I figured I probably spent more on Car wash then how much I would have spent on a good winter beater LOL.

yah i did recently buy it, i bought it for my all season car.. but i think my mustang cobra is going to be sold in the spring. Gotta love 500 horse at the wheels lol but the car handles like a boat. As for pictures i dont have much on this computer considering im at work, its basically stock besides stillen long tube, stillen exhaust, nismo headers, cobb tuner and ADV10 deep koncave wheels which i just received on monday(i wet my pants everytime i look at the wheels sitting in my room waiting for summer to come!)

Yup, me and spear use our Z in the snow during winter. It's not bad. With a proper setup, you CAN drive RWD in snow

It doesn't snow often here in Seattle (ask a native and he will say it NEVER snows....congenital snownesia). But it is cold and wet most of the year. My first "mod" was to replace the stock summer tires with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires. It did set me back $1,500, but now the car sticks to wet roads as well as it does to dry ones. I did not take the car out during our recent storm (and the days after it took to melt). People that have driven in light snow (under 4") claim the Pilot's are great. Don't confuse the Pilot Sport A/S with the other pilot tires. It is a totally different breed.
