I've got a few friends like this, and I wouldn't trade them for the world. I'd also never betray their trust intentionally.

It's incredible to have people who will be there for you like that, and if you open yourself up to no one, you will never have that, or at least you'll take it for granted.

True, you're less likely to be hurt or betrayed if you keep everyone at a distance. But I wouldn't want to go through life like that. It's your philosophy, and if it suits you, then I'm happy for you. But it won't suit everyone. I wouldn't want to live my life like that. Not saying my way is better, just different.
. Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. The pragmatism of, "I'll go it alone" sounds fine, but in practice, won't work for most. Without trust, you will limited in life. Mountain climbing, camping, hunting are safer with a buddy. Even hold the ladder requires trust.

Keeping your finances separate, as above, is excellent advise.

It's like that movie, Whatever Works lol In the end, as long as you're happy with how you live your life, then that's all that matters. Life is too short to waste it on people that don't deserve your time and also on cars that suck lol

I'm the kind of person that values friendship and I think having a partner in life that you trust and that deep down truly cares about you is better than being alone. That may be tough to find these days but I think it's out there. Even then I think you always need to have an exit strategy in case things don't work out as planned.

One thing's for sure, no one's ever going to take away my car lol Eff that

Did the love thing when I was younger and dumber, back in highschool and early on in college. Got it out of my system and ready to get down to the business of being successful.
