370Z: Daily Driver or Weekend Car?

I live in southernmost Virgnia; we don't get snow often enough for winter tires. Mostly I change due to the cold temperatures.

i try not to drive my z everyday. However, i do take it out on weekends

I travel a lot, so at best case, i only get to drive mine 3 days a week. So, YES, mine is a daily driver, if i'm in this state!

Mine is also a DD I get anywhere from 19-21 mpg very comfortable and for road noise.. who cares either turn the radio up or learn to find it soothing you get the car for a reason

I use the Z as a daily driver too. I have no problems with road noise. Even with the car half gutted and no headunit/speakers to help drown out the noise. Think of the engine/exhaust/road noise as a surround sound symphony to your ears.

My Z is a garage queen. I drive her a couple of times a week. I would probably daily drive her if the roads and traffic were not so bad here. I daily drove my S2000 for a couple of years and I spent too much time repairing chips, cleaning, and wearing out the clutch in rush hour traffic. Now I just daily drive my automatic Civic Value Package to work. It's nothing special so I don't worry about the little stuff.

i got a 2010 vw for daily driving and made my z a garage queen.
so i told my insurance company that i would drive the vw daily and the z only once in a while (max 2k miles a year).

the annual insurance premium for the z is still $200 more than the vw :shock:

So being new to this forum I was curious how many people used their z for a dd, and after reading through this and a few other threads I have to admit I am quite surprised so many people do daily drive the z. I wonder if I would..

not sure if i posted by my Z is my weekend car.

i take my G to work on nice days, Fit to work on crappy days and all of winter and to all the stores and restaurants, etc.

I like it that way. Its near perfect. I pick and choose when to take her out. I drove it for the first time this year yesterday and it was really fun. Slow cruising, got the temp up to 210. Hit the highway. Felt great. Then washed it , detailed it with Mcguires Ultimate Detailer( as i always do when after i run it ) and put a new cover back on. Also, the talk of road noise was non existent. Never noticed anything when I thought of the conversations about the subject. Just a nice sound from the engines when hitting it a bit.
