My DD unless its winter, then its stored
Work commute is about 8km lol, give or take if I park near work or in a residential area close to the train station. I'll get groceries in her, go to the gym, Home Depot, everything I possibly can. She was made to be driven and seen. With the kid now, I think my Z will get left home more often but the wife did say when we go to the burbs for family gatherings (shes Italian so this is like every weekend lol) once in a while I can just follow in my Z too...or I'll be sure to be somewhere else before hand so I have to drive over solo

DD
Daily Driver. My Z hauls groceries. And kitty litter (that actually helps in the snow...). And lumber from Home Depot.
Where I live, we get perhaps 10 days of meaningful winter weather (ice or >6" of snow) a year. My commute is only a couple of miles through city streets. So long as it's not icy and the snow isn't deeper than the front lip, I can manage, carefully. If it's much worse than that, I just work from home. Or my wife can drop me off on her way to work. I've yet to meet a snowdrift that her Outback can't plow through or over. Last edited by Augustus; 02-14-2012 at 02:22 PM. |

My commute is 130 miles round trip minimum, so I only drive it once or twice per week when the weather is nice. We do many long, multi state trips during the year, so the miles will pile on quickly come spring. DD is a 2003 Honda Accord with 343k and counting.

DD rain or shine including snow (w/snow tires). I didn't buy it to look at it! Had it a year and put 13K miles on it. Great fun to drive and it gets looks all the time!

Daily driver, however I don't put many miles on it (just passed 7,000 this weekend). If I had a real DD, I would be perfectly happy making the Z into a fair weather car or a weekend car.
