I think the right answer is putting it on the wheel wall(outside of the car/not under trunk), but just want to make sure.
I did most of the rear-end inside. I did some in the front doors also. May go back and do more. I've heard of some using a rubberized spray on the wheel wells.

And to nicknick. Some of us actually drive all the time in our cars and don't feel like hearing all kinds of noise while doing so. If you like the noise, then knock yourself out. Sports car does not equate to race car.

The 370 was not made to be quiet- it is what it is by design - enjoy- had mine 2 years and no regrets and fully expected a raw sports car with noise. My son just bought a G37 and he let me take her for a drive- it is a quiet 370 with a lot of lux- so if you want quiet get the G37 another great car

Oh so applying inside of car(under trunk area) also reduces noise? wow that is nice. I thought I need to put it up on jack stand, remove rear wheel and put them on wheel walls.

The Z aint no BMW in terms of refinement and noise. Its a more purpose built sports car than even the 350 Z was.

There is a whole other thread on the issue of loudness.. you are not alone in objecting to this as many professional reviewers have said the same thing.. check the thread Cabin Noise for an extensive discussion of this... and a very easy solution.. and NO a LOUD stereo is not the answer..dampening the noise is.....GUARD DAD ARE YOU SEEING THIS? YET AGAIN!! lol
As for the ride.,...Its actually quite smooth for a sports car..

I ******* love my Z. And I ******* love my 330ci. I understand that they are different kinds of cars and love them for what they are.

Douchebag.
Do you take lessons in how to be rude and obnoxious or does it just come naturally? There are many many professional reviewers that agree the car is too noisy and they are posted under the thread Cabin Noise.. I will repost them if that is permissible under the rules.. Meanwhile I think that calling someone a douchebag is wrong and I would ask others to comment on this name calling as well.
