I´m not worrying about the headroom although I am tall (6´2.5´´), since I have pretty long legs and a shorter torso. Nevertheless I have another question to the tall 370z owners: I recognized that the guy from cnet.com who tested the 370z seems to be around 6´2´´ at least. He seems to have enough headroom but at the same looks extremely cramped in the cockpit. From outside the car you can see that he can barely look out of the side window and his forehead is covered completely by the roof line. Do you guys have the same "problems"?

ha ha ha shorties.
I'm 6'5" and mostly legs. I think I fit better in the 370s I've test driven than my 350. The blind spots take a couple hundred miles to get used to in the 350Z. I'm still looking for my 370 but I bet they will take as long or longer to get accustomed to. |

6'1", 185 lbs, not exactly athletic build, but getting back there XD
considering that i used to drive a range rover, and the audi a4 feels like a cavern, i was concerned that getting into the 370z would make me feel cramped. but that's not the word i'd use anymore. i think 'snug' puts it rather nicely. |

Dude, I dont know how else to describe it. The Z cockpit was made for me I fit perfect. But when I went to drive the Camero and I couldnt get my legs in the car; had the seat all the way back and leaning back. Nope! Wasn't going to happen.
I also noticed that Foreign made cars seem to have their pedals a little further under the dash than American cars. Anyone else notice this?

I'm 6'4" (34" inseam) anyway to me headroom seemed a little short - a helmet would not be possible. I sat in one at dealer, and really want to buy one. I am looking to gain 1"-2" hopefully with a seat track mod. Anyone know if there is any room left under the seat rail or is it on the floor - need to look at the aft side of the rail.
Thanks Mark |
