MPG on 370z??

yes i know, it was really late at night (3am) and i was so tired+ my legs needed some time off.... (first time owning manual car)
Today i drove hard as i can (not full but about half thottle) and as hits 3.8rpm changed gears. XD

i drive mostly in the city and i am getting about 15 mpg (according to my own calculations).
my mb C320 also gets 15 mpg as well.

Ok I want to clarify that i didnt buy this car for MPG, but i was just curious on such a big difference compare to EPA sticker mpg and my actual on highway. I also read somewhere long time ago that as car breaks in, mpg will increase as well. All i wanted to get some answers for these questions and some numbers from forum members, not to get comments like "this car is not for mpg".

You will notice a big increase past 1k or so. I did my first oil change at 1200 miles, and gained about 10mpgs.

you have more problems if the world runs out of nickel, but then i dont mind a free lithium ion upgrade. i keep the z for racing. for stop and go traffic, why am i going to burn premium at a rate of 15mpg when i can do regular at 40mpg. since i drive 20k a year, my fuel saving is about $2000 a year. i do either true city driving or the boring long highway drives, driving a prius or the z makes virtually no difference

imo, there is a big difference even if you drive both cars at 35 mph.
if there's really no difference, everybody would drive a prius, there would be no demand for fast and high end cars.

Fuel mileage figures that you see on the window stickers are based on going the speed limit. Highway 55mph. I get 21mpg all around. You can get more or less than whats on the sticker cuz it depends on a lot of different factors. I recently looked at a nissan rogue and the highway mpg is 28mpg, the sales guy tells me 33mpg. But the sticker says 28. Where or how he comes to this conclusion is beyond me. Car sales guys say alot of weird stuff.

last time i checked, they sold more prius than z. its a matter of personal preference, who are we to judge?

my prius have been on an actual race track twice, i have a feeling that is more than most "fast cars"
