trade for a 370?
okay so a few months ago i was in the market for a new car shopped around a bit and ended up getting a brand new civic si. now iam thinking that it was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. my question to you guys is that do you think i could trade it in for a slightly used 370 with about 5,000$ on my part.
the si is in great condition. it was in a small fender bender where i had to replace the bumper but thats the only thing that has been wrong with it. thanks |

bone stock
I'd wait. The new Z is right around the corner (2013)
Either get the new 1 or clearance on the current 1. I traded a year old Si under 10k miles-I think it was for 80% of new keep it stock |

You could try posting something in this section:
Cars for sale (Private Classifieds) - Nissan 370Z Forum I think you might need to add a little more to get a 370z, but it's hard to say for sure. Only way to know is to try. |

that small fender bender will still put a bigger dent in the resale value of the car.
i read somewhere feb. - late march is like the best time to look for cars. might try to roll the dice and see what you can get if you're happy with the current model year. |

Honestly, you can't go wrong with the current model...and even if you do wait, it probably won't be THAT much different. I guess it all depends on how bad you and it and if your finances will allow it Happy hunting.

Im sure you could easily trade the Si for a used or new Z...
It is financially a bad move as you will lose thousands in the deal. Not worth it if you ask me but if you can afford it then go for it. You are the one making the payment. Personally I'd keep the Si for a few more years until what you owe is considerably less. I traded my '07 Si in for my 370... I had the Si 4 years and it was a great car. Good Luck.

tons of old Honda guys are switching over, I have deff noticed that. Im a honda fan or was till they started puking out turd boxes. These guys are right, your so upside down in your car, your kinda stuck. Im eyeing buying a lightly used 370 which brought me to this forum but I owe nothing on my current cars which gives me all the time and power. I suggest waiting a year, if you still crave a Z in a years time, go for it! '13 is along time to wait for a new car so I wouldnt make that choice, hell the mayans said the world would end in '12 so buy the current model and have fun!

I'd be wary of the Meisterschaft exhaust. The dealer that sells them here in the US has been accused of copying other exhausts and marketing them as their own and vice versa.
Also, 1500 dollars for a stainless steel rear muffler section? I'd rather buy a full CBE.

I pay $1,680 a year for insurance in NY (Allstate) with a clean record (30 yrs. old). My rate actually went up recently ($1,920 a year) and I plan on switching. The lowest I could find (Geico) was $1,440 a year. This is full coverage.
