I totally get the whole 'transmission grind' issue. I recently (as recent as 3wks ago) had my transmission replaced (power train warr FTW) and they readjusted the clutch without me asking and that has made the car fun to drive again.

It used to grind really bad from 1st to 2nd especially when it was cold outside so that is what got me the new transmission; and the shifting and response combined with the springiness of the clutch is just fun but the car still feels heavy so that is why i was contemplating a 370z.
