I had a 2004 G35c 6MT with Navigation and every option (Pictures in my profile)....I purchased my 370z the same way...Both cars are great. But the 370z seems to be more fun to drive. If you have any specific questions feel free to PM me

@AllForTheCash/kenchan

did you guys keep the G's bc it had a backseat? Part of me thinks considering how much value the dropped that it might be best to just save as much and use the G as a daily driver and the 370z when the weather is nice; also would be nice to have a car with a backseat as well :)

In all honesty I never used the Back-seat in the G35c. I think maybe 3 times in the 6 years I owned it....That being said I also do have a Daily 4 door front wheel driver :tup:..So the 2 seat factor of the Z doesn't bother me, but the car is short of space ;)..If you can keep the G35c go ahead and do it. I had to let mine go and it was a great buy for the person who got it....

I love the Z and its a fun car to drive.

originally not really for me because i have a dd (honda fit) for my kids and cargo and winter driving. i usually overlap my hobby car JUST IN CASE i dont like the new one i dont have to go find another car.

i was going to sell the G35C after maybe 3-4months of owning the 370Z thinking they must be pretty similar considering both nissans, RWD, VQ engine, etc. but i realized how different these two cars are... i decided to keep the G as my main car for summer time and Z for fun-only now that my kids are old enough to hop in/out by themselves.

im going to be selling the Fit pretty soon and get a 11' or 12' WRX-hatch this coming winter :)

well, again; i just want to thank everyone for their input (I saw that someone else asked the same question as I); I'm thinking what I'll probably do is keep my G for AT LEAST another 2years and then see what happens. With gas prices shooting through the roof that last couple of weeks; I'm thinking a paid off car will help with the increase cost of fuel.

Anyway; I think I'll also use this time to do some minor upgrades such as a Z-tube, mrev2 along with a 5/16 spacer. I'll definitely be lurking on the forum; that's for sure since I'm becoming a big fan of Nissan and Infiniti in general. :)

@former G owners
Hope you don't mind the constant questions about how the Z compares to the G and all. Umm...one question comes to mind real quick; seems everyone talks of the G 'low-end torque'; is that to say that to really feel the Z kick in etc; you have to keep the revs high? Also, one of the things that I really love about the G is even though it's a coupe; it's bigger than most cars on the inside (in particular my old mustang); how does the Z compare to the old one when it comes to space - take into consideration I'm a pretty big guy (6ft 235lb) :)

There's a million threads on height. I'm 6ft 170lbs. I fit perfect. And the way I have positioned myself in the Z, I would appear to be a smaller guy. (So my wife says). If you are wide bodied you may have some discomfort from bolstering but head and legroom are pretty good. I think you would have to be over 6'2 to possibly have an issue with headroom. I do know we have many 6'4 guys on here that don't complain, and a few that do. Fat guys always complain bout the Z. I won't even try to explain that one. Lol

np! i think that's a good decision to just wait it out and keep your G.
there's still a huge market for aftermarket bits for the car so plenty of stuff you can do to it.

im real happy how my EibachProkit + D-Spec + Stillen Swaybar front/rear + Stillen rear camber arms + SSR 19's turned out.

in fact, this am i pulled out my G from hibernation and drove her to work. :D
man i love the G35C. such a beautiful car. hadn't driven her since Thanksgiving. :icon17:
