Vette Owners Never Fail to Surprise Me...

And this is why 95% of them watch NasCar and can't understand Formula1 and how a 3.5l V8 can make 800hp and rev to 19,000 rpm. :shakes head: I can understand someone wanting a V8. Wanting a American icon vehicle. Wanting to mature a bit and get away from the "Tuner" scene. But to say they didn't like the "high revs" has to be the gayest reason behind getting a different vehicle. |
Ok.

for some...there is no replacement for displacement....lol

I got rid of a 2006 Z51 vette and went to the 370z with no regrets. The vette guy you quoted is lost.

Sorry just ranting over the stupidness I see/read.

I think he was referring to the coarseness of the VQ35/37 engine @ high rpm. I'm not a fan of it, either.

I gave up my RX-8 because I couldn't stand a 9000 RPM redline. All my friends with their 6000 RPM redlines would tease me terribly, telling me to go commit suicide doors.
 |
who cares. c6 is my next car
|
Reving high is fun, but who doesn't want more torque at lower RPM's?
I get it. That said, it's not like you have to rev the Z all that high to get it moving... |
meh... my grandpa drives a vette
|
I want a corvette.
am I a bad person now? :ugh2: |
It's not all vette driver, just this one guy's opinion.
The power delivery is different, and the v8 is torquier in the low rev range. But who cares? Both cars are fun, sleek, powerful sports cars. |
