Vette Owners Never Fail to Surprise Me...

There is something to be said about having a huge handful of torque available from the bottom to the top! Even driving the base model rentals from Hertz impressed me.

The C6 feels big when you first drive it but after a little getting used to it is not so bad. Fit and finish are not on par with the 370 and G37 but the C6 is a monster that handles pretty D@mn well.

I've only driven older Vettes (from the 70's). They are a blast. I love the styling from that era. Maybe the Corvette will go retro like the Camaro and bring that style back?...Please?

I rev to 8600rpms in my RSX-S (with ecu tuning). That's the main reason I bought it, it revs up and down all day long

Has any 370 had a spirited run with a Corvette in the turns? As far as I know their drivers are intimidated by twisting turns.

Not in my Z, but I have in the S2K. I've seen quite a few vette drivers that can really drive.

Use to work at a Corvette performance shop. Driven more than enough stock, cammed, supercharged C5/C6's (ZO6). Always looked forward to getting into my TT-350 at the end of the day.

I agree.

I wanted a C6 ZO6 real bad when they first came out. Than I worked at that shop and while yes, the LS7 is a bad ass motor, it lacked a lot inside and in quality. It's nice to have unGodly amounts of power but to drive it everyday would suck.

I don't know that I would say it would suck.

how about the cadillac cts-v coupe? it's a cadillac with a corvette engine, so the quality has to be better than the corvette, right? the interior looks a lot better than the one in the corvette, imo.

OK... I'll give into that. However I feel there are other cars I would be more happier in daily.

The newest model CTS-V does 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. That's pretty intimidating. It has that magnetic ride suspension, too, so it would probably outperform the 'vette given that it loses some weight. CTS-V coupe, anyone?
