Now a good time to buy?
Hello,
My car blew up recently so I'm shopping around. The 370z caught my eye and I've been doing research. The car looks awesome; I have a test drive in about 12 hours :] :] After reading these forums I started wondering.. how big of a redesign is the '2012 model' going to be getting realistically? Is this mostly cosmetic? I've read the threads about the possible Diesel/hybrid changes - how likely do you think these are? I'm not familiar with how often re-designs are done to cars. Basically what I'm asking is... should I get a beater and wait it out or is it worth getting a Z now, in your opinion? Thank you very much :] Last edited by h4rp0on3r; 02-19-2011 at 04:13 AM. |

I doubt you will see any major difference from 2011 to 2012, but you never know. If you wait until the details of the 2012 model come out and you dont like it, I guarantee you that there will still be plenty of 2011's maybe even a few 2010's still sitting on the lot.

There won't be any major changes. The 350 was released in '02 as an '03 and there weren't many changes to the car through the '08s. They did change the engines a few times and a few minor changes elsewhere.
Nissan doesn't tend to change models much once they are released. You probably won't see anything majorly different until 2013 or '14. Just my |

When I browse the posts in the pricing/ordering thread I get the sense that there are some good deals to be had out there on left over 2009 and 2010 models.
Enjoy the test drive later!

UPDATE: The test drive was amazing, of course. Luckily I brought a pair of 'dependz' :]

Also, how early do manufacturers (Nissan historically) announce planned/upcoming tweaks for model refresh? I'm car-less right now and I'm curious how long I would need to wait for these to be announced. Maybe at the Geneva show in March? Or way later like September? Thanks! |

OP- anytime between Jan to Mar is a good time to buy. most folks dont have money due to xmas season and waiting on tax refunds so more power to you. go near end of month (like now). also good time to buy is Aug-Oct and find the older (previous) model year. |
