I think I'm going to push for a Nismo.

The nismo would be a great choice. You can't beat those sport brakes. That's for sharing all this info, makes me feel very safe. Besides being toasted, thr car held up great structurally for a frontal impact. I'm very impressed. God I love these cars!

Wish you a speedy recovery my bionic friend

I think the fire started because of where the impact was. My nose hit right behind the B-pillar of the truck, I think. I assume that's where the fuel tank is on those trucks.

My orthopedic surgeon just came into my room and gave me an update. The plans are to go back into the OR tomorrow to finish washing it out and to have a titanium rod installed with screws and nail. I asked about carbon fiber, which was a no-go.
Was the truck a GM?

Unfortunate event. It's a bless you made it out relatively well. Hope you have a quick, full recovery and back to your work soon.

For once, I don't think this will buff out...

Sad to hear about the occupants in the other vehicle.

Good luck healing up...

Looks like it was an Isuzu Hombre. Basically a Chevy S-10. If I'm not mistaken the fuel lines run down the drivers side. Given that they were probably old and rusty they could have broken easily in the collision and sprayed pressurized fuel all over the hot exhaust. Instant fireball.

That is insane, I have never seen a single accident as bad as that anywhere.

Good luck to you and your wife in your recovery. Hopefully you can convince your wife that a Nismo is in your near future.

I'm just trying to keep a sense of humor, albeit warped, intact about the whole thing. I refuse to let it have a negative affect on me.
