As the others said, glad to hear you (relatively) and your wife are ok!
Very unfortunate accident... Too bad our Z's don't have the retracting brake pedal that's in the G's.... You mentioned your wife was taking pictures, so I assume she walked away without even a scratch?

I always envisioned a tangle between a Z and a truck would have the opposite survivors. It is all too common for the instigator of the crash to survive and the innocent die.
Sorry for the loss of life but grateful for you and the misses (wife) getting out alive. Heal quickly and may your career not be impacted.

Both of the kids graduated with my daughter, to boot. The whole community's in shock right now, since we live in a town of about 7,000. |

That is insane, this has to be one of the most extreme 'totaled my Z' threads yet. Thank God you and your wife escaped with your lives, I am very sorry you have to go through this.

Luckily, my wife's an EMT by training. I was one of her EMT instructors, so she can actually handle that kind of stuff. I had to force her into EMT-mode and out of wife-mode, so she didn't emotionally lose it on me.

Wow, that is amazing. Thank god you are OK. The Z has proven to be a very solid car with head-on collisions. I wish you a speedy recovery.
It's too bad about the two truck occupants.

Wow glad you're ok OP. It's sad that those kids were so young. Events like this remind us just how fragile life can be.
