Having said, I still really love my '09 Z!

No kidding. I don't think they actually expected it to perform but sales wise, yeah. They should have released it with at least a 160 hp gas motor.

That said, I see some advantage to having a hybrid ASSIST gas motor. Tack on an extra 50 hp on demand to a 330 hp plus motor and I'd sign up. Depends on how much weight is added. A hybrid-on-demand system wouldn't require as many batteries (weight) as a hybrid like the CR-Z would.

Diesel, no thanks.

Personally, I think this Z car mock up looks fantastic.

Hybrids do have manual transmissions...TRUE manual transmissions and no just flappy paddles. So thats not an issue fellas.

Feel free to look into it.

Hybrids don't work on the track too well, so not a good sports car choice (F1's second try not withstanding).

i like the look, other than it needs wider looking fender in the rear. As for engine, a diesel would be wrong, just wrong, hybrid, might be cool, if the weight stays low, the added power could be, scratch that, WOULD be awesome!

Maybe we all are going to own the last drivers car Z. lol... That hybrid and diesel crap is not going to happen. Picture chevy making a hybrid or diesel vett?? They would not be able to give them away, people flipped when they got rid of the pop of headlights.

is does look like a damn eclipse...so the current gen went back to its roots by making it have lines reminiscent of the first gen z’s... then this coming gen is going to look like every other car in the market?...

nonetheless i like the front fascia though... hope somebody creates a kit out of it...

I need to go hug my MT too.

I was recently offered a nice 300ZX tt with few miles upon it. I went to look at it and it had an auto. I didn't even ask the price or want to test drive it. To each his own. Mine will be manual for as long as it lasts.

I wasn't referring to the Honda.

Audi pretty much dominates LeMans in it's classification.

Folks, the styling is simply an artist's rendition for the article at hand. If anything the current styling rekindled the Z's heritage like no other in the lineage of the Z appealing to larger demographic than before. The mechanics of the newer drivetrains will have a heavy-hand in the styling direction.
