I Did It!!

Just made a deal and put down a non-refundable deposit on a 40th! Flying to Kansas Monday to drive it home. When I started looking seriously at Zs a few weeks ago I had to resign myself to the belief that a 40th was out of my budget. Then I found what I think was a reasonable deal and my budget expanded. Gonna have to do something nice for the wife.

Pretty stoked but also a little buyers remorse.

Right -- the remorse evaporates as soon as you drive it.

It's a great car, I spent several days considering it. Condition is excellent with only a little scuffs on the front plastic spoiler. Make sure you get the 40th car cover, they have it inside. Clint was great To work with.

Congrats. Btw it is in Missouri

Yea I had a brief moment of panic when I realized it was in Missouri not Kansas. I thought oh **** where the hell is Missouri and how much further will I have to drive. Geography is not my strong suit.:icon14:

The more you drive it the the more that remorse goes away. I had crazy buyers remorse some reason this time but let me tell you I am glad now.

Whoah, now! You paid non-refundable money on something you have not seen? Did you have a professional company inspect it for you I hope?

Congrats on the purchase, but I would be nervous, too!

Once you realize everyone on the freeway is looking and drooling at your car, you will regret that you didn't buy the car sooner.

ProfessorDave 02-10-2011 02:28 PM

Sounds like a good deal, except for the travel part. But it will be worth it! Enjoy the ride home!

Yeah nervousness has crossed my mind a few times but microday's comment helped. I talked pretty extensively with the sales person who used to live nearby and If they f*ck with me I have the capacity to cause them to wish that they had not.

Nismoracer 02-10-2011 03:29 PM

What did you have remorse about?

$33,000. I'm pretty focused on early retirement and a little weakness might mean that my wife has to work a little longer;), but I need to do it while I can enjoy it.

Welcome to the club man! Whatever remorse you have about this car will disappear as soon as you drive it. You have a limited edition car which many people cant say they have, nice job and let us know how everything goes!

Kansas City almost always means Missouri, but there is one in Kansas also. The metropolitan area people refer to when they say Kansas City straddles the state line. So people like me, in a suburb in KS, are part of the greater KC, MO area. So yeah...grats on the car.

Just be glad you'll be missing the snow, supposed to be in the 50's by Monday. It's been cold as hell with snow on the ground, so my Z has been in hiding for a couple months now.

You have nothing to worry about, the car is clean. Auto check is perfect, 1 owner trade.....no worries with this car.

The only negative is at has sat outside for a few months. The only reason I did not purchase was price and I found a 2009 with 1,655 mile for considerably less.

Bryan 02-10-2011 06:49 PM

Congrats you're gonna love the car

I feel your pain. I'm over in Lee's Summit and going through withdrawls. I think I've driven mine twice since Christmas. Can't wait for warmer weather and all this snow to melt.

98intrigue 02-11-2011 11:11 AM

That's a great price in my opinion! Welcome to the 40th club, haha.
