Exactly, every regular car is always going to be a compromise. It a) has to appeal to a wide audience, b) it has to be relatively inoffensive and compromised because of that target audience, and c) there is a certain issue called cost targets. That is why after market products produce such a drastic difference over OEM parts, these after market companies can focus on each component to maximize its potential and it shows when you can gain 20rwhp with a simple CAI or cat-back exhaust.

Many enthusiasts don't like compromise, like myself, therefore we get rid of the compromising parts.
