I agree with you and tend to look at 370Z's as hamburgers in need of some veggies. So does that mean 370Z base owners who are modding deep down want to be vegetarians?
arent you getting HFC"s aka ceasar or ranch dressing?

Apparently you like your 'condiments' in your bank account, rather than to be viscerally experienced behind the wheel of a fine car.

So I say again, Mr. Plain Hamburger....

Nissan gives you a tasty flame broiled burger and a decent bun and says, "have at her!'

I for one prefer my car modded to my personal tastes and see no issue with that. Much as others have modded their cars to their personal tastes.

As for bone stock.... that's like having just enough money for the hamburger but not enough for cheese, pickles, relish, mustard and ketchup. And don't forget the lettuce and tomatoes! And then saying your happy with your plain burger when you know you really wouldn't mind a few condiments....

Initially, I too had no intention of modifying my car. I bought the sports package knowing that forged wheels won't be upgraded for my needs. So I was done right? Not so fast: Then the cars oil kept getting too hot so just an oil cooler (an oversight from Nissan) that doesn't show. Then the drone of the exhaust. I can fix that. Then sways to correct the under steer. Well if I'm doing all this why not get coil overs to address a couple other issues such as getting on the gas earlier without losing the rear end coming out of a turn. CAI's were free as a bonus with the above items from Stillen. Next week I hope to have those installed. The rear camera is so low on my priority list I keep not doing it.

I think I'll have it all after this, so a tune is in my future. I would like to say I am nearing completion, but once you lose your mind who is to say what you'll do next.

i find myself modding less and less as cars are coming out of the factory better and better. i can understand not modding the Z. it's not bad the way it is but the HU on the base was SAD and off goes modding.

I'm still stock, but I'm paying the car way down/off before I start throwing mod money at it. Of course there will be exceptions.

I too said "no need for mods on this car" however that thought changed really fast. cold Air intakes, cat back, nismo side skirts, nismo underbody rear spoiler....When you have a new "girlfriend" you just have to give her some bling.Vanilla ice cream is great, but add some hot fudge and marshmellow sauce , well you get the picture. opps gotta go, seems that UPS just brought me a big box, I think its' the spoiler for my " Japanese girlfriend"

These are not the stock Z's you are looking for.

I'm not sure which guys amuse me more:
  • The ones who say "Stock (except for ___________, ___________, and ___________ )"
  • The wannabes who have a permanent list of "Upcoming Mods" in their signature line... which really just amounts to a wish list of things they can't afford because they have the same damn list all year long.
You can afford an intake or you can't. Either way, get back to us when you actually get it.
