There have been plenty of convertible cars with exceptional performance. The fact that most tracks don't let them in has more to do with lawsuit aversion than the performance of the vehicle -- Your Honda Fit is welcome, but not your ~155 mph Z roadster ...

I could have gotten a Z4 .. or a Boxster. But at the time I bought my Z, those models couldn't match the performance and I preferred the styling of the Z. Also those things are like flies around here. I might see two or three a day especially during the summer.
I maybe see one Z4 a month and a Z once every 3-4 months.

I'm in dfw and see about a Z a day now. They've gotten fairly common out here. But for every one Z I see, I see 7 camaros, mostly black ones.

+1 I think the z looks too bloated in convertible form.

haha it doesnt rain that much here in New England, not England! the spring time yes, but summers are fairly warm and dry....its the summers and fall where I would love to take a 370z convertible and go on a long drive.....but i just have a case of the winter blues......sticking with the 40th then maybe a GT-R in a few years

Keep the 40th as the winter beater and buy a roadster as your summer toy, lol....

@Unknown_370
No doubt about seeing so many maros on the roads of DFW and yeah; starting to see a lot of Z's as well. Bc the 40th was a limited production; I'd stick with that so it would always stand out from the crowd as more and more people look to get a Z.

OP
I've even gone as far as seeing if I could find a 40th since if I was to get a Z; I'd probably lean toward that one since that color is so 'sex' along with the gun-metal powered rims....just NOICE (not sure how I feel about the red interior)

THe red grows on you, i was worried about the red because my friends beamer has red seats that really stick out. But the Zs seats are toned down a bit so they dont jump out so much like a bright red would. It is nice having a limited production model and plus there are no Zs in Boston. Well, except for this one guy in a black cherry Z convertible who thinks his sh8t doesnt stink. I see him once in a while on the Masspike and he doesnt even look or take notice when i pull up to him, he acts like he has a superior car. One time i pulled up to him and gave him the "double thumbs up sweet ride tough guy you win gesture" and he didnt even look over. All i wanna do is ask him how he likes his convertible, next time i might throw a water balloon at him, i dunno. I might start a thread "tough guy with the black cherry convertible Z" i know who you are stop acting so cool
