I drive mine every day and it has been in the snow and on wintry roads for most of it's life. The car drives fabulously, of course I do have snow tires on it but it's never even spun a tire once... unless I wanted it to.
Those traction things might work and their a convenient size but be careful with them. Anything under the tire can become a projectile, you shouldn't be spinning the tires anyway but just be aware. |

if you're not careful, you'll go sideways in the snow instead of in the direction you want. on the occasion I had to pull up a freshly snowed on driveway or pull out of one, I sometimes ended up far in my yard instead of on the street. pretty good at melting the snow on the ground, then I get traction.
