Can you help me in identifying this device ?

It must be an insurance discount device ... It zaps you in the balls if you go over the speed limit or launch too fast

I'm sure somewhere someones garage door keeps opening everytime OP presses that button

Either that or it was an old LED kit button

The reason I asked for how the button worked is because it could have been hooked up to a lazer jammer and that was the on and off button. Chances of a cop looking down there for a switch to turn it on and off are slim.

Hmmmmm...wonder whether this isn't part of a dealer installed KARR Security System?

No LED or any kind of light. It really seems to be a non-illuminated switch.
I was thinking if it's still operational it might be to truly turn of VDC and ABS.
And if I were to put in a switch that turned of such features I would make sure it would only work if you meant it to, by holding it longer.

The only way were going to find out what it is, is if op gets out there and traces the wires to where they go. just seeing the switch is like looking at a piece of bread and everyone trying to guess whats going to go on it.

Very true... But he didn't try holding down the button yet... Maybe the car would have exploded...

LOL self destruct button. Ok OP for argumentative sake hold down the button please. After 10 seconds of holding it down and nothing happens please trace the wires.
