As long as its not snowy/icy you should be fine to drive home on the summer tires. Being that youre in NYC you should probably expect some ice at least.

As long as its not snowy/icy you should be fine to drive home on the summer tires. Being that youre in NYC you should probably expect some ice at least. Still I dont think its reason enough to swap tires just for the trip. Just make sure VDC is on and youre being careful.
Being that its nearly a week into February I would contemplate not even putting the snow tires on at all till next winter. They tend to wear down quickly on dry roads and you want to get as much life out of them as possible. Congrats!
