FairladyZ???

Can someone explain to me what the difference is in a "FairladyZ" and the 370Z? I can't seem to see anything different than the name?

In Japan the car is the "Fairlady Z" across all model years.

For the US market they call each model the "### Z" based on engine size. 300Z, 350Z, 370Z... you get it.

It'd be like if Ford sold the Mustang in America but called it the "460 GT" or "500 GT" in the rest of the world.

Fairlady Z is the name of the car in Japan. 370z is the name of the car in the US. I believe in Europe and other countries too. Not sure about that. From what i heard, US didnt want to sell the car named fairladyz because they thought that consumers would not drive around a car named fairlady. I got rid of my 370z and added fairladyz cause its a sexy name.

european Zs don't have that slippery mode/snow mode. first time I heard of the term. I know the GT-R has a snow button.

as far as I know fairlady Z is only in japan.

I didn't see this come up in a search, but I found a French article about the 2011 FairladyZ (Z34) and how it has a "Snow Mode" for slippery roads and better starts. Is this for the JDM or Euro version of the car only? All I can say is thank God they didn't call it a "Fairlady Z" in the US. If there's a worse name for a car I'm not sure what it is.

huh? first off, its an opinion, and opinions don't fail. If you like the name, stick the decals all over your car, get a tattoo on your head, I don't care.

secondly, its a sports car, and like a book or movie the name is a part of the overall package. sorry, but I am not a fan of "My Fairlady" the movie (which has zero relationship to the car) and I don't care for the soft sounding name. again, you are free to use it. well, at least you've thought it through but you should probably consider speaking for yourself. I'm happy for you that you are proud of who you are and your sexual orientation. I've always been straight so that whole aspect of being afraid of who you are never occurred to me. My wife doesn't like it either, I bet she'll be real surprised to find out shes just scared of her sexuality. heh.
