All US Zs are made in the factory in Japan wear the euro/jdm Zs are made so there is no quality difference. For manufacturing concerns companies want to limit differences that go to different countries. Gone are the days when the JDM car is completely different than the US car. They make a special trim for a certain country but that's rear and more likely to just be a special option.

All I can say is thank God they didn't call it a "Fairlady Z" in the US. If there's a worse name for a car I'm not sure what it is.

Acura
Integra
Masturba

huh? first off, its an opinion, and opinions don't fail. If you like the name, stick the decals all over your car, get a tattoo on your head, I don't care.

secondly, its a sports car, and like a book or movie the name is a part of the overall package. sorry, but I am not a fan of "My Fairlady" the movie (which has zero relationship to the car) and I don't care for the soft sounding name. again, you are free to use it. To me it sounds weak, not sexual.

If they called the car "True Grit" in Japan I wouldn't like that either. In that case, it would sound better, but still wouldn't fit.

and lastly, "just too many guys in the states that are scared about there sexuality" really? that's your line of thinking on this?

well, at least you've thought it through but you should probably consider speaking for yourself. I'm happy for you that you are proud of who you are and your sexual orientation. I've always been straight so that whole aspect of being afraid of who you are never occurred to me. My wife doesn't like it either, I bet she'll be real surprised to find out shes just scared of her sexuality. heh.

Not really.

Let's look at some differences.

In the US, you can buy trims that include a base trim (so you can save money up front and mod how you like) to the Nismo trim. Those aren't available everywhere. In fact, in Canada, all Z's are sport/touring.

In Canada and other places, you get the rear fog lamp. I ordered one with a switch. Cost me a couple hundy, but that's what I wanted. If you don't buy one, you're missing out on one extra light.

In other places you can get a rear wiper. oh noes.

In Japan, it's called a Fairlady. Not a better or worse name imo, just different.

In Europe, you could have bought the 40th anniversary trim in grey or black.

I may be wrong, but I think the 40th came with nav in other countries, not in the US, but that's just one option on one trim, and there are aftermarket options.

something something right hand drive

So yeah, US Z's just blow.:ugh2:

As far I know european 40ths have Nav I remember seeing one at my dealership and it had a nav installed.

That is so false opinions can fail. A pedophiles opinion is that it is ok to do you know what with little kids. I know this isn't of the same stature but still it is a opinion and it is FAIL

From what i heard, US didnt want to sell the car named fairladyz because they thought that consumers would not drive around a car named fairlady. I got rid of my 370z and added fairladyz cause its a sexy name.

This is a win opinion/comment

A famous quote goes something like this: "Opinions are like a$$holes. Everyone's got one, they are all different and they all stink but mine". Food for thought.

Bodytechz 02-03-2011 10:13 AM

Wow, well thanks for answering my question regarding the "Fairlady" Z. As for me, the 370Z name works just fine!
