Default No snow for my Z

I've read so many threads about whether or not to drive the Z in the snow so I decided to take some pics today. I live right outside of Boston where we have had 5 big snow storms each week that have dumped anywhere from 8-12 inches each storm. The snow banks are so high that you cant even see around the corner when turning onto a street. The other problem is the ice, sleet, and packed snow that is sticking to the roads so getting around is such a hassle. Obviously this is a pretty crazy winter here in the Northeast but I feel awful for anyone driving their Z in this. There is so much ice/salt/sand being thrown everywhere that it would definitely take a toll on the paint job and underbody of the car. Check out some of the pics, especially the one from yesterday when a chick down the road drove her car off the highway and landed head first into the snow ( Car flips and takes it on the nose)

photo 5.jpg You will also see how high the snow is as its taller than my Jeep!!!! Dont worry though my 40th Z is all wrapped up in storage and will hopefully be ready for April

Man I feel you on that. I have owned my Z since October of last year. I have only 2K miles. She has just been sitting covered in snow. Thank God I decided to buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee this thing is a Snow beast.

Yup I have the same thing, 2001 Grand Cherokee full time 4wd....nothing stops it. I was going to chance it and try the Z out for the first winter, so glad i didnt do it. Now all i have to hope for is for all this snow to melt

Forget building a snow man...I'm going to try to figure out how to get my car to stand up in the snow like that! Imagine all the room it would save in the driveway!

My Z only comes out to play when the roads are dry.

Man snow-packed roads are so much fun in a RWD sports car with snow tires.

The deep snow sucks, though.

While I have another car, I purchased my Z to be a daily driver. After putting Yokohama Avid Envigor's on, it does ok with all the snow we have had lately in Saint Louis. After all, it is a GT car...

The snow banks are so high right now that even sitting up high in a 2500HD I can't see around the corner at an intersection. I took a little drive around today at lunch time and there was no one on the roads except for plow trucks, snow blowers and one random cross-country skier. I'm waiting for the gutters to fall off my house they are so full of ice.

Those tires are better than the stockers in the snow but are still pretty crappy in snow compared to a snow tire. It was so slippery in the parking lot at work yesterday that I modified my boots and cut in some micro-sipes to improve traction. It worked!

Im in the same boat, my front glass door of my house froze today with snow and ice, couldnt get out. Every single gutter of mine is dammed up even though I cleaned them all out last week. Apparently we are getting more snow this weekend. ughhh

Yep, a nice wintery mix to ice things up even more. Fortunately not a large amount is forecast.

We got some rain this winter here in Sac. Today was clear and about 65 F.

I decided to stay inside today. I saw that my porch was about 3ft under so just pretended I didn't see anything and went back to my music room.

the z with snow tires can handle the roads in your pics just fine. But yeah if you have a jeep to drive, I'd leave the z at home as well.

I wouldnt mind driving the Z with Snow tires, but the salt and sand constantly kicking up drives me crazy. I'd rather just wait till Spring to take her out. My 350Z was a daily driver and I bought the 370Z with the same intentions but I am very glad I picked up this Jeep. Love seeing my Z parked during this crazy weather we are having.
