This close to losing my FOB
So I went to get my car detailed and Hand waxed today. When the were done I went to my car and I was in kind of a hurry so I pressed the start button and drove off. Well I meeting my wife and kids around the block to eat. When I got there I jumped out of the car and pushed the lock button on the outside of the door. The car gave me the keys are in the car idiot beep. So I remembered that they didn't hand me the key. But it started so the had to be in the car? I search the cup holder, center console, the door pockets, the glove box, the hatch and even under the seats. I even tried redrafting the car to make sure the key was there. Then I looked at the dash and I see the FOB. So I reach the grab it, only problem the windshield was in my way. I frickin drove from the detailer to the restaurant with the FOB sitting on a windshield whipper blade. Thank god that the $150 fob with $300 programming didn't fall out while I was driving causing me to have to leave my $36000 car unlocked.

I thought only the 40th anniversary came with fob holding wipers?
This is one of the more unusual reasons why keyless ignition isn't always a good thing!

Lucky for me there was too much traffic and too many lights and not enough distance to really get going.

if you had a nismo you wouldn't have had to worry because all the extra downforce on the car is designed to hold keyfobs in place on the windshield. The detailer must have mistaken your crappy non nismo 370z for the much better, aerodynamically superior nismo 370z.
that reminds me of a story when i was a little kid. i was playing basket ball in the driveway with my brother, i took my watch off and put it on the trunk of my mom's car and forgot about it. then later she went out and i realized i left my watch on her car. i ran down the block and found it in the middle of the road run over by a car. |

Isn't the nismo a base model with a $10k body kit?

I found a screwdriver in my wiper blade area on my old Altima one time. Thing is, the last time a screwdriver was used on it was like 3 months before that.... so it's been there that whole time. I guess things hold well in the wiper section without falling out, unless you roll your car lol.
