Default 370z vs Cayman S Review (Does it Hit the Benchmark?)

Hi All,

Just joined this forum with the addition of an '09 370Z (base + Sport Package). I had been cross shopping this car with the Cayman S, and perhaps in a different economy would have gone for the P car, but having driven both on several occassions, I really felt Nissan has come awfully close to what is clearly the benchmark in the segment, and one they readily admit they were using as part of their development of the new Z. Anyway, I though this review, which was recently posted on Caymanclub.net is a pretty fair assessment of how the car stacks up. Read it and let me know what you think.

I think the writer found the vehicle to be an overall winner.

It is not a Porsche and he tried to steer his article away from this comparison.

He probably owns a Porsche, which would make sense, based on this article.

I did get a chuckle at the M5 statement. Bottom line......regardless of what anyone says.....German engineering is a tough act to follow. The transfer of power is really sweet.

I love my Z. My first.

I read an article last night which showed the new Cayman S 0-60 at 4.6 with the double clutch S package. I think the double clutch is what you do as they are trying to rip your checkbook out of your hands.
