Congrats on the vette. I did enjoy the ZR1 Nurburgring lap at the bottom of this page : 2011 Chevy Corvette ZR1 bit more expensive than the Z06 though haha

I am more attracted to the Z06. If I were stepping into an FI car with a bunch of electronics, I would probably pick the 2012 GT-R over the ZR1.

Recently bought a 2010 Challenger SRT8 at the end of December, after the first 1000 miles my car has stalled twice in the middle of traffic and the car has had a sporadic issue of not recognizing my key fob.

So far this problem is widespread on a large number of Chrysler models and many people have had it happen well over 20 times. The company has refused to acknowledge it/find a fix and the dealers have been unhelpful. Hate to make a mountain out of a mole hill but I'm afraid of the car stalling in the middle of a busy intersection and possibly getting rear ended. Very unsafe and I'm starting to think about flipping in for a 370z.

I loved the 370z when I drove it, but talked myself out of it due to the road noise and lack of a model that suited me.

Hoping for some opinions/thoughts from you guys about what to do...the Challenger forum has been pretty short sighted saying DON'T TRADE FOR THAT JAP CRAP...not exactly helpful.
consider the Infinity product. Similar starting points - but with different executions, options and rides. More of a GT than a sports car and perhaps more in line with your driving preferences. Road noise can also be softened with a smaller diameter wheel and taller side walls at the expense of handling and performance. Road racers do it all the time - a set of wheels for the drive to the track - a set for driving the track. You get two "cars" for the price of an extra set of wheels. The cat can be skinned in many ways - find solutions and disregard distractions. There is no perfect car, but when you love the car you drive - you forgive it's flaws. Kinda like a wife. Good luck.

Dunno, not planning on buying a 370Z, and the quality of people here makes me question why I post. Your probably right, not a group I want to interact much with as the maturity level here seems to reflect the age-group of the 370Z owner. Sadly, that's my age-group, but I never really liked my own age group. So I guess deuces.

No feeding please!
Everyone has his or her's on opinion about what they think is best...

That's what make's these boards interesting and fun. But bashing will get you
know where. I have owned both cars, vettes and Z's two of each.

why even compare the two at all. there is none. the vette is on average comparing apples to apples 18,000 to 25,000 more...

and sorry if you don't like 370.com why keep learking around........

Too much to reply to here guys, but thanks for all of your help.

Looks like I'll be picking up a 370Z within the next month, a couple of issues with the Challenger have come up since I first posted and my gut feeling tells me the thing is a ticking time bomb and it may be worth it to just flip it before I pick up too many miles and it isn't worth much.

This forum really has been great and given me some good insight into the car which allowed me to weigh the pros and cons of the decision. Will post pics of the old and new rides when I pick it up, currently in the middle of a move so may be delayed.

One last question...red or white?

Police attention considered:
Red if you are brave. White if you aren't.

Red certainly looks better.

I almost bought the Challenger SRT8 over the Z, happy I was lucky in my decision. I think its a really nice car but its unfortunate it is having issues.

Anyway red or white, White I think would be a more classy look if that's what you want. Red if you want to stand out and shout here I am.

People say you get pulled over more with a red sports car. But I had a red Camaro I got pulled over less then I did with my blue Hyundai Tiburon.
