Talking Oops......went to a BMW dealership.........

Alright, so me and my wife have been stationed in Germany for the past 4 1/2 years and never went into a BMW dealership until recently. I decided to take an overnight test drive for sh$ts and giggles. That is where the oops part comes in....

So we got a 328ix sedan cause that is all they had. I loved the ride right away. I pulled over and let the old lady try it out. She loved it too! Not really sure where 128i came up but we found our selves at a dealership down the road asking questions.

Well, a long story short. We took the sedan back this morning, test drove a 135i and a 328i coupe and left with an order for a white on black 2011 328i coupe w/M package and a black on red 128i convertible for the wife! I know it's not a 335i and a 135i but E-5 pay is not the best

So in the next week or so I may be parting out the Z, stay tuned

PS-check out my gallery for any parts you may be interested in and PM me

Congrats on the Bimmer. I don't really understand why someone would make that move exactly I suppose you were looking for practicality and refinement

Originally that is why I decided to go this route, practicality. I wanted my wife to be able to enjoy a nice car and she can't drive a stick. Then one thing led to another...........

I'm sure they ride "better", but it's definitely not a move I would have done. Now if it were a 335i or 135i then maybe.

But good luck.

just in case anybody is interested.......

The 328i base price here is $32,000 and the 128i convertible base price is $30,450. Keep in mind they are tax free for military

Good for you for getting what you and wifey wanted. Don't listen to the guys telling you what you should have done. The 328/128 are still really nice rides.

I love my girls 06 325xi A LOT. slow yes but just something about it.

Did your order your wife some 18s? BMW has so many nice wheels but the throw some questionable wheels on the stock cars.

I kid with the mrs all the time saying I'd trade for her car.

The car just feels great! Congrats on your purchases l:

I work on BMW's, Id rather have the turbo(esp now considering the N55 engine fixed all the N54's fuel problems), But the N52K which both of those cars have is a rock solid engine with nary a problem. Sad to see you trade your Z but gotta do what ya have to.

She got the 128i that comes with 16s stock. She did not want the 17s so I didn't push the issue I got my 328i with the M package though
