Will Blizzak LM-25 225mm fit on stock Rays?
So I just bought a Z and picking it up next week, I want to make sure I get everything ready for it when I pick it up.
Buying a dedicated set of 18s is out of the picture right now so I was looking for blizzaks lm-60 to fit the rays spec. Total came to $1070 shipped. ouch Then i saw blizzak lm-25 225mm for $500 shipped. I know it'lll be stretched a little on the rays but is this alright? I probably will only need to run them 3-4 months a year |
I personally, I think that is far too small of a tire to safely mount on the Rays rim, especially since you have to think about pot holes and hidden obstacles in the snow that will up the risk of unseating the bead on a stretched tire and causing a blowout. That would be much more costly than the savings over properly sized winter tires.

I would not run a stretched winter setup. You're just asking for trouble with that.

alright i guess i'll have to blow the $1070 on the 245/275 blizzaks

thanks guys

I got wheels and tires from Tirerack last year for $1255.70 shipped. It's a whole lot easier to swap full wheels and tires than mounting and unmounting just the tires. The narrower tires will work better in the snow anyway.
I bought 225/50 18s. |
I got four brand new 18 inch wheels and lightly used blizzacks off the 350 z forum for less than that...
Check my winter wheel thread. I will sell them for 900 shipped... Plenty of tread left Blizzack LM-25 225/245 on 18x8,18x9 |
^Wow, great deal right there.

I love Blizzaks. +1 on the dedicated rim idea.
