Save your money and put it towards gas, CAI intakes are worthless and your car already comes with cold air intakes, HP gains are almost negligable with these aftermarket kits.

the stock dual intakes were good enough for amuse's 350Z race car, i think it is more than plenty on our 370Z street cars.

$372 for powder coated gray AEM's , $321 for polished aluminum on amazon a year and a half ago... Never seen it cheaper after I ordered a set. Now both are over $400.

I was playing with Torque Pro today checking the temperature of the intake air.
After 11 miles of interstate driving, at 45 degrees outside temperature this morning and at 190 degrees engine temperature, Torque Pro showed the incoming intake air at 66 degrees while stopped at a stop light. Driving at 60 MPH the intake air was 59 degrees. I can't see any benefit from after market cold air setups.

with you Kenchan, all you need with the K&N air filters are Post MAF Tubes and your done with the CAI. Or you can be like me and add every hose Z1 Motorsports sells in silicone, i have them all installed except the heater hose set, the brake booster hose, and the breather hose set

I have the K&N short ram, I didn't dyno it thus I can't tell you how many horses we are talking about, but it does breath better especially from 3000rpm and up compare to a K&N drop-in, (Yes, I had the drop-in prior to the short ram)


For under $300 I think it's a good investment both performance and price.

Plus no cutting or whatsoever, even to wash the filter is easy cos you don't need to take off the bumper.

That's cool and all lol no pun intended but long tube intake gains / benefits aren't from just the cool air.

Something to think about as well is the Stillen G2. You can get it for $427.00 which includes shipping on the Stillen website.

I just recently went with this system over the G3 for ease of access to the filters. Did not want to take my bumper off to either install a CAI or when maintenance was necessary.

The sound the G2's make is quite impressive especially under WOT. I am really happy with them.

Are there before and after installation dino runs by actual owners to see what gains are made from long tube intakes? I'm not spending my money on a butt dino feeling.

the no cutting is a big factor for me, which is why I want to go with a CAI that doesn't require cutting like a short ram or a CAI from Takeda or AEM.........

I have a dyno on a modded car, but the dyno includes gains from my NST pulleys. MotoIQ did a writeup as well: MotoIQ 370Z AEM CAI Testing

Attached are my own results

Red is LTH, HFC, CBE
Blue is +AEM CAI and NST pulleys.



The gains are there, not just on the butt dyno.
