Accidentally? I found that in High School parking lots there are less accidents and more intentional damage done to cars that other students couldn't afford. :stirthepot: Get a used car but keep a photo of your Dad's car in your locker to show the ladies. Actually, you could probably get an entire full size mattress in the back of a Ford Taurus Wagon - try that with the Cayman.

Honda fit. IMO it would be a great starter car. I'm planning to get my son a the fit. I'll let him mod it out too!

Show respect get respect..... But if you we're my kid i'd say HELL NO...

Ok now. We were all 16 once and let me say this...if my parents were willing to buy me a car like the Z, I would have taken it in a heart beat no second thoughts. So don't hammer this kid it ain't his fault. Also if I am making the kind of money where I could go out and buy my kids a car like the Z when they are 16 I would consider it after a time with a break in car maybe as a grad present. But don't hate them because they have $30k to invest in a 16 yr old driver.

Yeah, those are the kids that are born with the Silver Spoon up their As$ess' and don't appreciate working to earn a damn thing.

They will never learn to appreciate a car or anything since everything is giving to them. :shakes head:

Even if I could my kid is not getting a sport car, not even close. Study, work and learn how to earn what you want! ;)

Thats ********, Jose. I was born with a silver spoon up my *** and have appreciated all my cars... The ones my parents bought me or the ones i have worked hard to buy myself... It doesn't matter. I appreciate them all the same.

To the OP... The Z will be fine if you aren't an idiot. All of us were 16 once and know all the stupid crap we've done. If you get a car like the Z you literally have to survive, because you will do stupid **** and the Z is not a forgiving car for an idiot. Just keep that in mind... If you want to live, don't be an idiot.

I hope for the sake of humanity that your parents get some sense knocked into them.

m4a1mustang 01-10-2011 09:22 PM

Also, when i was 17 i had a car that was quicker than my Z. I had some close calls but I survived. I didn't feel like I had really matured as a driver until I turned 18. By 21-22 I really started thinking about how stupid I was as a kid... And now at 25 and out of college I feel old and drive like a freaking grandma and make mean faces at kids in elevators.

not a good car for a 16 yr old because you can't drive your friends around with it.
it only has 2 seats :)

When you get to my age you'll start dropping the "these kids today" bomb and you won't even realize you started doing it.
