you will either wreck or get multiple tickets in your first car. I think the 350z suggestion is best. besides, if your parents give you a perfect sports car right off the bat, what do you haave forward to working towards?

I suggest a 1988 honda civic. I love that car when I got to test drive it. It is so slow, no way you can get into an accident. Because it is so slow, it is actually fun.

I was 16 once and I would have said F U to anyone who said I couldn't handle a 370Z. I am 30 now, and I would not get my 16 year old a 370Z. I only say that because I know how I was at that age, and I surely would have gotten into trouble. But that should not reflect on you, I don't know anything about you. But from what I have seen growing up with kids and fast cars up until now, I would say no. But if you think you are a responsible driver then go for it, there are responsible teen drivers out there. Good luck.

Depends on the 16 year old. For many, it's a bad decision. For some, it's not a problem.

Did anyone notice his profile says he drives a Porsche Carrera S? So you drive your dad's car? And he lets you?

Did anyone notice that this OP might be full of $hit!!!!

His leased is over and he is barely 16 yrs old. Most states you don't even get a Learning Driving Permit until you are in 11 or 12 grade, plus driving school is required.

Here in VA you don't drive along until you are like 17 yrs old with a city curfew plus the parent has to go in front of a judge to get the License once he/she passes all the tests.

I got my license 1 day after I turned 16. I had my permit at 15.

In NC you can start drivers ed in 9th grade and get your license when your 16 and occasionally when your 15 but its very unlikely

It doesn't matter what age or what you drive. Just Don't Be A ****. Use your head, know your limits. Respect it and others.

I already have my first car in a way... its a leased Honda Civic Sedan but by the time im 16 the lease will be up in about a year so ive just been looking at other cars for the hell of it and the 370z has always been my favorite. Are there any mods to make the front headlights on the 350z look different? I think the back looks fine but the front.......

I know your new. But there is a search function here with hundreds of things to see. Start using it and you'll spend weeks learning about this car. Don't take that as being rude.

I was one of the youngest members here. My parents bought the 370Z for themselves, but I drive it much more than they do. It's effectively my car. I love cars, and I always try to deal them their proper respect, and haven't gotten into any trouble (no tickets etc.) except for recently in the snow (which, depending on where you live, can garage your Z for up to six months).

Personally, the Z is a lot to control, I won't lie. I also think that a 370Z is too much for any beginning driver. I'd actually go with an Impreza or a 350Z as a first car that's still a lot of power but much safer (and significantly cheaper). I might sound like a hypocrite, but I stand behind what I say.
