This is the 2nd thread you've made about this, if you want the evo and you can afford it, just get it. Personally I think your reasons listed are all BS with the exception of 4 seats and snow, those 2 are perfectly valid. However, as others have stated if you thought you got a lot of tickets in the Z, just wait till you drive around in your cop magnet.
and I find this hilarious, just a few threads down on someone trading for an RS4 Quote:

Don't do it. New evo's are trash. I agree with everyone's sentiments above.
If you don't have kids, you don't need back seats. You're just acting on impulse right now. You WILL regret it, afte losing all the money on the trade and then realizing that maintaining the evo costs the same as the Z if not more. Z is cheap to maintain relative to other cars. It's just a normal car. I will say this again...you WILL regret it. And you'll end up being broke and sad and there won't be anything you can do about it.

with the others to sell the Z for the evo you are not only losing money but you are moving into much less of a car IMO, it has been made with less quality and is also probably just as expensive to maintain! |

how hard is the decision?
you will lose money its slower more mod unfriendly apparently the costs of maintaining it are the same or more its a cop magnet only thing it can do is drive on snow which you could do with a cheap *** DD with snow tires |

Yes, I wish this decision was easy but it's not right now...
I test drove both trims, the GSR and the MR earlier today. Did not live up to my expectations. Although you can take turns at very high speeds other than that it seemed boring. Acceleration didn't get me too excited but man does that Turbo sound sweet!

Crown, education comes first. You have ALL YOUR LIFE to enjoy and buy whatever you like. But right now your main goal/focus should be on education. As RCZ and some others said, sell your 370Z and get a cheap affordable car (May I suggest 2011 civic. Get 38 MPG on highway and you can buy one for like 15K invoice or a 2011 Nissan Versa for 13K brand new). That's what I would do. I have simply seen way too many kids buying expansive Benz and Bimmer to act cool in school, then ended up working 40 hours a week to pay for it. Due to working so many hours, they keep dropping class, getting Cs or delaying their graduation. You have to get your goal straight Crown. Of course this is just my opinion and I'm only telling you this because I like you.

I guess some budget cuts won't hurt and I need to start looking for some rims and snow tires. My trade in value was horrible O____O;; I thought I was being played with.

I agree with everyone about regretting the switch over to an evo. Especially if you already have awesome whip. I know all about wanting something different during these winter months. It snowed today, i know. I live in the same state as you. Thats why I have a 99 Altima... beater!!. That cars mad dependable, 4drs and you can have more then 1 friend in it!! Also its fun in snow. In the EVO? why get a brand new car just for the snowy days. Thats silly. Your gonna miss having the Z. Think smart, instead of buying upgrades on the Z save and get a DD. Bought mine DD for 2gs with 85k on the dash. Ever think of having a car to drive without worrying about breaking it?? That evo will eventually break and will cost you money and a crap load of " we told you so"
Your being overly dramatic about the who thing. Its funny, i feel like im being a parent that's saving my son from making another bad decision. Meaning getting a Z in the first place and being student with not alot money and purchasing a non practical vehicle? Not good. But so what, nobody's perfect.I bought a Z to and i don't even have a crib, nor a garage to keep it in..lol But this your moment, not mine. Good luck my son..may the Z be with you..
