I'm guessing that since he was at his girlfriends house late at night, he didn't have his second key.

Sounds like a known issue.. hopefully Nissan dealerships are on top of this
http://www.the370z.com/exterior-inte...tml#post514553 Or it could a simple blown fuse, I would check the fuse box located at the driver side kick panel, as explained by a post by forum member This would be a quick fix if it's root cause, if not, then, you're getting a power module under warranty.. This makes the 4th person, I believe I was the first. The car CAN NOT be started, it MUST be towed! $1300 worth of warranty work and 2 days in the shop.

Yeah i got it towed to passport. sorry for the late response guys . The dealership havent really said anything yet. and the spare key did nothing as well. They left me a message today saying bring it in... What makes this worse is that their taking forever to get me a loaner car, so im stuck with no where to go haha. Ill keep you guys updated

what really sucks is that after this, im REALLY considering to sell my car. its had so many problems and I feel like im the only one. Sorry if im complaining, and i know that other members here have had some of the same issues that I do. But they each have one or two problems. This car has had almost every problem that has been mentioned and not on this forum. Ive had my ecu replaced which was HELL, I had my hatch springs replaced and it STILL gets stuck. I even had to get my fuel actuator replaced because of very LOUD and bizarre noises it would make. And now this... I just dont have the time anymore for things like this to keep happening... I LOVE the car too but its having too many issues. Sorry if im complaining, but im serioulsy contemplating it..maybe even getting it lemon lawed

I'm willing to bet it's the steering lock assembly. There's a recall for the 09 GTR's, and this trapped me once as well and needed to get towed. It affected a boatload of 09 GTR's all over North America. Since I'm sure the Z's steering lock are similar, if not identical, I'm willing to bet it's the same issue.
It'll be covered by warranty. After half a day of labor, it'll be back in your hands. As long as your dealership is GTR certified, I bet they're very used to fixing this and will get you back on the road quickly. Good luck.

Lemon law +1. Especially when you have that many problems. Makes you think you'll have the same issues for the length of the car. Then what happens when you go outside warranty. Thing is these issues are mild. But more frustrating than anything.
