With Evo's, STi's and other factory turbo cars, the MAF is positioned pre-turbo so they are measuring air at atmospheric pressure; and that's also why we often need to upgrade MAF housings to accommodate for larger-than-stock turbo setups. So, for the 370Z, it would only make sense to upgrade the MAF housings if you were looking to make more than 450-500 bhp N/A or 900-1000 bhp force inducted, roughly speaking.

Will you start or already have a thread on the progress of this project? I want to subscribe. Maybe not since it's still a hush hush thing?

poor people who purchased a turbo to get those numbers while we don't.
sure you can say they got those too but even if they can now easily go higher than say 600 they will most likely need to strengthen the engine so NA guys win. |

*shrug* i dont know much about the VQ engines...but i seriously doubt you can hit 425-450 NA @ the crank, much less at the wheels. VVEL tuning may give us some decent gains, but think ~10% tops.

Full bolt ons and a GTM tune touched by God still won't get you 450.

Yeah I don't think it will be a 425-450 gain but it should be a considerable gain. Like throwing in a set of racing cams, ignition sys an a good tune. (diff eng of course) It's more complicated than that but you get the picture.
