Car got keyed today at work :(. Remember the park away from other cars rule? Yeah, it got me. I was kinda busy at work and wasn't able to see the guy next to my car. I thought he was just admiring it like every other car that stops by. 30 mins later he walks out, order food then gets back and drives off. I'm getting ready to put stuff back to the car when I found it all scratched at passenger side. Grr Angry face!! Jealous mofo, I still have the scratch on the Z, but I still have the Z! Pics later when i'm free. I don't even wanna drive it anymore.

File a police Report. Your works Insurnce may cover it and find the guy and kill him

yeah, I want to file the report, but Dad doesn't want me to. Says it'll take too long. He's helping me buff it out. His "secret" on buffing out is soft sponge and dawn soap lol, which is working well. its almost out, but he's tired; and a great dad. Don't know what I'll do without him. Thanks guys.

That's F*CKED up man! That seriously gets my blood boiling! I drove my Z to work today for the first time in over a month. Parked way out in the lot and went to lunch with a co-worker (he drove). On the way back in I notice a contractor van practically kissing my front end; totally unnecessary to park directly next to me AND that close. There is ALWAYS that idiot out there. So I tell my coworker to stop and let me out. I walk over to my car and notice the guy is sitting in his van on the phone. So I purposely walk between our two cars and I literally had to side step to get between our cars. I made sure to face him and give him a look. I then started her up, took a quick cruise and then parked it away and next to some handicapped spots where nobody parks yet (new building, lot is not full anyway).

I don't get why someone has to vandalize a car just for spite or jealousy and I would probably flip a lid and go FIGHT or FLIGHT and lose all concern for myself if I ever saw anyone in the act of doing this to my car.

I'd let a professional detailer buff it out, and make it look like new if the scratches are superficial?
No disrespect intended towards your Dad :tiphat:

Yeah, Dad said the same thing, its just to make it less noticeable and a bit cheaper. Now its like 3 fair scratches.

when i park at the company, i would park close to the area where the ceo would park. i figure that is the safest place :)

da,mm sucks....doesnt looks like you can watch out.

djpathfinder 01-05-2011 01:12 AM

I feel for you bro, that's total BS! Well check out some of the Junkman posts and videos on youtube for some good tips. If there are a few scratches left you might want to try a product called Quixx. Worked well for me. With a little elbow grease you might be able to get rid of the rest of the scuffs for next to nothing. Good luck.

What kind of ball-less asshole would do that?

My Evo has had two nasty key marks, and even my wife's Z got keyed. People are f*cking jerks. I've never ever door dinged somebody's car, yet alone intentionally keyed one....

Don't f*ck with a man's car. If you do, you deserve to die. End of story.

That's a bummer about the scratches!
But I'm giving you a rep point, for the positive statements you said about your dad!

Snakes709 01-05-2011 01:55 AM

no offence but i would disregard your fathers advice and file a police report and try and track this sucker down, check video tapes of surrounding buildings
