The 7speed is apparently faster... In a straight line. Don't get me wrong, I own a 370Z auto but I'm sure the 6speed would be faster on a track with lots of turns and brake intensive. I love my auto as my DD though.

I'd have to say the six speed. I don't have any solid facts to compare to. The six speed has less moving parts. Thus meaning the six speed would not lose as much power threw the drivetrain as an auto. That to me would seem to rev faster also.

Since you're new? the 7AT has been proven to be faster but by a very small margin.

It is a Sport Car MT even if it is a tit slower. However it will depend on the driver!
