How reliable generally is the Z?

ouch..hopefully your luck changes with the transmission. i would seriously lemon law it if you have further troubles. as for the paint, its quite disappointing that nissan didnt give us

as for the paint, its quite disappointing that nissan didnt give us the "scratch protection" self healing paint the fairlady z's (and US model G's) have..

This is my second Z and its been reliable. So was my first Z also.

Me and my bro bought altima coupes same day. His had problems mine didn't. Its luck of the draw with all cars i suspect.

Just thought I'd let everyone know I got the car back yesterday, with a brand spanking new transmission. Hunter with the Courtesy Nissan service department was very helpful and got it handled in short order (more than I can say for the sales staff).
