Women aren't evil, per se, just relationships. A relationship isn't a good idea unless you have $$ to burn. |

my mom hasn't worked since i was born. Does that mean i think i shouldn't get married because i wouldn't want a wife who would do the same? no it means i' have learned from my experience, and came to the conclusion that when i get married, i want my wife to work. |

Wait until the kid gets old enough to drive and then wrecks it! An acquaintance of mine's son smashed up his car coming around a curve. Father got it fixed and kid proceeded to smash it up again RIGHT IN THE VERY SAME CURVE!!
Another time I was parked at a light and heard a screeching of brakes. The car behind me was hit by the car behind him.. I was untouched but the poor bastard behind me took it in the rear.. He got out of his car and looked at the damage and put his hands to his head and said OH NO!! In the window of his car ..a brand new Lexus.. was the sticker information!!.. he was just bringing it home! Last edited by RiCharlie; 01-05-2011 at 04:53 PM. Reason: word error |

The conclusion is that they want to buy a bunch of **** that I don't. It would be unfair to ask them to pay for all of it since I would get utility from it--even if I don't want to own it enough to buy it myself. I would get dragged into paying for a bunch of crap I don't want. |

Amen Jeff.. my brother in laws kid bought a muscle car..forget which one..many years ago without checking insurance rates.. He had numerous accidents and speeding tickets.. insurance co wanted $12,000 per year!! He sold the car right after that ..and that was about fifteen years ago when a dollar bought more than it does today..

I live very simply. I rarely go out except to pump iron or shoot or shop. I am a simple person and don't want that complicated. |

I like to stay in practice.
(XM193 semi-rapid fire, about all that ammo is good for is 1MOA regardless of the platform or shooter. Give me some decent ammo and a scoped AR like the COLT CAR A3/Leu VXIII I was using for this group, and some decent ammo, and I am usually a reliable .75-1MOA shooter off of a bipod from seated or prone.) agreed. /\ I hope the OP is studying the gems of wisdom contained herein and taking notes. (notes to self: pull out next time, if using a condom, raping sheep is okay, abortion can be free if you're a cheapskate, some men are pu$$y whipped and their lives end when they get married, some men don't marry and are happy, some men don't marry and are sad, Importconvert is a good shot, black women have STD's...even Venus Williams, Shakira is not a ho, I'm sure I'm missing a couple....

Remember, children are like farts, you don't mind your own, but everyone else's are horrible. Just because you don't like everyone else's kids, doesn't mean you would not love to be a parent yourself, but it's a very bold step to take, it's the biggest decision and commitment you will ever make in your life.
Once you have a family, it is very hard to strike a balance between being an individual, and your role as parent and spouse. There is often not enough resources of time, energy, and money for both, and the family has to come first. When both spouses make an effort to put the other's critical needs ahead of their own secondary needs, it works. Many families today are having kids in their 30's which is a major help, you have 10 years to save money, raise your income, and enjoy some independance before the family. I am 40, 3 kids, career up the arse, besides an hour of exercise a day, I get about 1 hour a day to "myself" to read at the most, otherwise I spend all my time on work, kid's stuff or with the wife - which can also be relaxing and fun. Frankly, I'd be bored off my arse if I didn't have a family. Bored with taking vacations, going skiing, riding the motorcycle, bored with watching too much tv, bored with riding my bike, etc. Financially, I count myself lucky to have a solid retirement saving started, college savings, a pension, and can still afford a Z after buying the family SUV, vacations, private school, etc. The best way to a happy life is an outstanding education, put in 20 years of ball busting hard work, get married, have kids, and stay married. It aint easy, but that's the way to have it all. |
