Welp, 600 miles on my new baby, and did a 0 - 60 in exactly 5 seconds flat today bone stock on an uphill onramp-not even breaking 5k rpm!- for quick shift/rev break in. I was very impressed by this because the main powerband/max torque is between 5-6k rpm so 5 sec flat with 280-300hp and 220-250 torque aint bad!. Handles as good as my former 135i, yet just a tad heavier feel, but with better grip it seems. 1G on the skidpad is very impressive. 135i has a bit more torque but the Z seems to pull even harder once you get the rpms up there above 4k. Lovin this amazing sports car! Its really sad how much other sports car companies overcharge for performance, once you get in a Z you realize how badly porche and BMW and others are ripping you off all in the name of whats on the logo...

Anyways, just wondering which mothers milk is best, I know there are a couple good top teir but im still up in the air.
I don't think there's much difference between gasoline types, although I'm startled by your very impressive 0-60 claim for an uphill, low-revving jaunt.

Agree, though I buy Chevron as my first preference.

And yes, I am puzzled by your sprint --- though if real, it would be good news to all of us.

its all in how you time your shifts. If you time them perfectly you can achieve what most drivers do not. I also have the speedy shifting paddle shift auto, which shifts much faster than manual, this contributed to the 5 sec. My friend has a 370z in his garage as well and reguarly gets 4.2 - 4.5 not even going over 6k RPM with his stillen intake modded paddle shift auto. . He also did an ECU upgrade and it shifts faster than stock. Its like lightening quick. ALso, the Auto gear ratio's are much better than the manual. Much lower 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear than the manual version of the Z. Faster shifting and lower gearing = better acceleration.

Gear Ratios Z (Manual)

1st 3.794
2nd 2.324
3rd 1.624
4th 1.271
5th 1.000
6th 0.794
Reverse 3.446
Final Drive 3.692

Gear Ratios Z (Automatic)

1st 4.924
2nd 3.194
3rd 2.043
4th 1.412
5th 1.000
6th 0.862
7th 0.771
Reverse 3.972
Final Drive 3.357

I dont think most people realize that 0 - 60 times and general car performance overall, has just as much to do with who is sitting behind the wheel, as it does with whats under the hood.
