What are your monthly payments?

I was wondering because dealers are always shady when they add extra fees and sometimes they don't remove them and there are a lot of numbers that they move around

I'd like to get an idea of the payments depending on the price that you got the car for. Just post in this format, I guess:

I'm assuming most vehicles here are financed to own.

Monthly Payment:
Money Down:
Price Paid:
Location:

Any other info like dealer fees help, too.

Thanks.

Monthly Payment: $488 (4.09% APR, 60mo.) Thank you Think Bank! https://www.thinkbank.com/rates/loan_rates.html

Money Down: $5000
Price Paid: $31000
Location: Fresno, CA

The car was $29200 + TTL. I was using approximate numbers for my down and price paid since I don't remember, but the monthly payment is accurate.

Wah? Wow? That actually sounds pretty nice...

EDIT: The reason that number surprised me, now after I put them down on a calculator at Edmunds, was that it came up at $528. How so?

Marcus just make sure you punch the numbers at home of what you think u qualify for.. pick out how much you want to put down, for how long and interst rate to the price you agreed to buy the car for... then there shouldnt be any catches when you go to the dealer..dont forget your tax rate if you think something is fishy just ask the sales person to explaing the numbers

Its just the best way for some people...as long as the rate is sub-5%, I wont knock it.

yeah, I am just planning ahead and using it as a 'just in case' measure. The payments are low, but I didnt mention that I was also going to be paying 1000/month, plus 5k+ of my bonus every March.

If something unforseen does happen in terms of my employment, I wont be paying a ridiculous payment and a 72 month loan allows me to have lower payments and still afford to live and ride out anything that comes my way.

Again, I dont anticipate anything happening with my job, given the amount of work and length of my current contracts. And if that is the way it is, then I will pay off the car in a little over 24 months, maybe even less, and probably end up paying less interest than most of you out there.

I definitely would have gotten a shorter loan (48-60), or just straight waited on getting it, if the interest rate was above 5%, but like one of you said, its sub-5%, so it doesnt bother me. I did this before when I bought my truck back in High School and paid off the entire car (12500) in 6 months doing web work (thank god for the emergence of the internet back then).
