"Would you also be interested in trying the new Juke?"

Dream of test driving? :bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl:

To add some fuel to fire: its really hard to justify a car accident when you've got the front end damage AND YOU were on the wrong side of the road. I call BS on his " I was trying to avoid an accident" part of his story. Feel bad for that Z though... I wish I were in the area too so I could salvage those sport brakes and rims/tires granted that they are not damaged.

I like this thread, makes my day less boring

NYBladeZ 12-23-2010 02:09 PM

it is possible that it wouldn't start because there is a "collision startup reset" button. I learned about the safety measure when I got into an accident in my mustang. My car wouldn't start although I was rear ended but there was a switch that had to be pressed in my trunk to get her firing again.

Ur damage looks extensive, I would guess between $15k-$20k. I would ask your insurance company what's their policies on write offs. Some may say that anything more than 75% must be written off others may not want to pay out and go higher. I don't know if you have a lien on the car but if that's the case you may not end up with a lot of money left over since you would owe almost all your principle on your loan.

Now the harsh fact, you're car will never feel the same. That is pretty extensive damage to the front right suspension sure there are great body shops out there but that will factor into repair costs which will likely be great as it is. You seem pretty young so chances are your emotionally vest and want the car back but for me personally and many other members here, the car will be a mechanical liability, have a really low resale value, and frankly not something I would invest modifying which is half the fun. Good luck keep us posted but at the very least anticipate the worst.

English, grammar and sentence structure must be elective courses in Law School.

Hey man cut me some slack today is the office holiday party and I have a few in me. Hell if you ask me after 3 shots of cafe patron and a black label my spelling and grammar are still pretty good!

nicknick 12-23-2010 03:22 PM

I don't know why America allows 17 year olds to drive cars. Minimum age should be 18 and even then conditionally. 21 is when they should be off their probationary licence. Also girls (most girls) should not be allowed to drive nice cars, they only drive them for fashion reasons, this is what i have observed/evaluated, and i did say most so settle down all you ladies. Most girls should be mandated to driver honda Jazz or something like that.:stirthepot: Additionally OP like this do give our cars a bad rep.

Actually - You forgot to capitalize the "you." Nevertheless, when saying something like a, b and c - the comma is optional after the b - consult your nearest MLS handbook.

Besides - who the **** cares? Seriously? The ONLY point of grammar / language is to convey ideas using simple sounds / words / whatever. If his point comes across to you - then the intent of him speaking / writing has been accomplished - leaving you looking like a moron. Just saying...

When making a list in a sentence, a comma never comes before "and" (which immediately precedes the final entry). This is a rule, unless one was writing that sentence in the 1800's.

no need for the Grammar police its just a forum.

NYBladeZ 12-23-2010 03:48 PM

I love this forum. Getting back on point, the OP's parents should not be surprised by his accident. Frankly, when I have children of driving age I will want them to have great things. With that said, I will not give them cars that are beyond their capabilities. My children will start off with a fun beater car that they can work on themselves, only after showing enough maturity and responsibility would a car such as the Z be reasonable for a driver under the age of 20.

I'm not saying that all driver under 20 are beyond the Z's capabilities but cars and car accidents are expensive and have potentially lasting effects, a fact I'm sure the OP's parents are learning as we speak. The OP is probably heartbroken, I hope he takes a step back and learns from this experience.

Howzzz my grammmer Now!?

Should we also raise the minimum age to enter the military in a combat role to at least 21, or do you think an M4 carbine and a half-track take any less competance to use properly/safely?

Just what kind of car are you going to buy that will prevent them from steering it into oncoming traffic?

LOL - Look at how "our" language has changed over time. English was spoken and written completely differently 100 years back and even more so before that. Do you run around using "thous" and "arts"? I dont reckon you do :)

Language evolves just like everything else - so if today you find more than 50% of the folks saying / doing something one way which you might think is "wrong" (read: different from what you are used to) - you can bet than soon enough (eventually) that will be considered correct - no matter how much you are angered by it. So sit back and chill man - eventually we will reduce language to a handful of words "eat / sleep / **** / **** / drive"

Till that day comes - ill be a-waiting

The things that really need to be communicated don't require words. :tiphat:

"But the English language had deteriorated into a hybrid of hillbilly, valley girl, inner city slang, and various grunts."

While vacationing in South Carolina, my mom and I were talking (in Czech) by the pool and a local asked me if I spoke "American"

Is there something I missed?
